When he was a kid, Richard sometimes was allowed to use his dad’s camera. It was a simple ‘Afga clack’. According to Richard, the scent of the leather cover and the roll of film have something magical. When Richard was sixteen, he bought his first ‘real’ camera, a Fuji. With his camera, he captured just everything around him. No wonder Richard turned his hobby into his profession. When he’s not busy photographing, Richard is creating (memories). He likes painting, playing music in his band and boating. In his job, Richard loves the great variety: ‘One week, we travel all over the world and visit the most beautiful places, the next week we’re back in Lisse getting our hands dirty.’ Richard gets his inspiration from everywhere. New forms of art, like when making photos and videos from a different angle, are the greatest source of inspiration for Richard.
